Ship ahoy matey! Join in the fun! EVENT POSTER

"I came out with my 4 & 6 year-old boys from Kamloops to do their first ever Larch Hills Pirate Loppet this year in Salmon Arm. It was an amazing experience and I was far too busy being a logistics manager, boot tier, cheerleader, first aider and sherpa to take photos. I am truly grateful that you were there to capture such fabulous photos. I think photos from events like the Pirate Loppet are particularly important because when kids see themselves living the moment, that very moment becomes part of their fabric and contributes to their definition of who they are. The Pirate Loppet embodies all that is healthy, active & community.
Thank you! Tamara"

Description:

Larch Hills Ski Club will be hosting the 2012 BC Championships on February 18th and 19th. This is the third and final race in the BC Cup series, and will attract racers from across the province from young children through masters categories and will include university teams.

We can expect between 300 and 400 racers to register for this event.
Saturday's race will be an interval start (classic technique) while Sunday will be a relay (skate technique). An awards ceremony with refreshments will be held at the Community Centre on Saturday evening.

All club members interested in racing are encouraged to participate and potentially earn points for Larch Hills. Last year, when Kamloops hosted the race, Larch Hills won the club championship trophy! Hopefully we can defend our title in 2012 on our home course.
