Event: Larch Hills Fun Race/Zone 2 Trials Qualifying Races for BC Winter Games |

Description: Zone 2 Trials: For the competitive skiers aged 4-18 there will be Interval Start Races. Classic technique from 1 to 7.5km for the different age groups. Athletes skiing in the categories of second year Midget (1996) and first year Juveniles (1995) are eligible for BC Winter Games. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age category. Entry fees: age U8 - $8, age 9-10 - $10, age 11 and over - $15. Click here for more information Register online with Zone4 only ! Fun Race: The Larch Hills Fun Race is a 10km classic race for ages 19+ who are not eligible for the Interval Start Races. It is set two weeks before the Loppet to provide a warm-up for racers. Entry fee: $15.00. Classic or Skate technique. Come out and have some fun and warm up for the Loppet in 2 weeks. Mass start after the Interval Start Races. Description: This is the 25th anniversary of the Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet. The race offers skiers 2k, 6k, 18k, 36k Race routes and 10K, 18K and 30K Recreational routes. Description: The Pirate Loppet is all about FUN on skis at Larch Hills! There's a fruit loop cannon start, plenty of Rowdy Pirates to cheer the kids (Grades 3-7) along a 5K route, cookie medals for all participants, a hot lunch and draw prizes at the Chalet. This will be the fifth Pirate Loppet since it was reactivated by Brian Smith in 2005. Last year's Pirate Loppet attracted over 340 skiers. All Shuswap-area Elementary Schools and PACs will be given registration info. Ship ahoy matey! Join in the fun! |
