The Society | Meetings | Executive | Contact The Larch Hills Nordic Society The Larch Hills cross-country ski area, 20 km from Salmon Arm, is home to some of B.C.'s finest ski trails. With 125 km of trails, about 43km of which are track set, there is no shortage of variety for the cross-country ski enthusiast - classic, skating, and backcountry/unset. The Larch Hills Nordic Society maintains a chalet next to the parking lot, Cec's Cabin about 6K up Larch Hills Road and Tom's Shelter about 4K up Woodlot Ramble. We also maintain all the tracksetting equipment including a Pisten Bully 200 and safety toboggans. There are no trail fees but donations are encouraged to help with these expenses. Membership to the Club is the preferred way to go - very reasonable and practical. The LHNS hosts a number of events throughout the ski season including the Santa Cruise, Moonlight Lantern Ski, Fun Race, Full Moon Ski & Pot Luck Supper, the Elementary School Loppet and the popular Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet. We also have a BC Rabbit program plus a Challenge program. As well, there is a strong contingent of Larch Hills Junior Racers. All in all, a vibrant and very involved ski club. Come ski our trails and/or take part in one of our events!! 2011/2012 Society Meetings Society Meetings are held Tuesday evenings starting at 7:00pm in room #1 at the Salmon Arm Community Center (below the auditorium and pool).
